Forty years ago today was a day for the books. That morning, 8 lb.
11 oz of baby cuteness entered the world. My future husband. The man I
love. While he is not fond of birthday celebrations, I certainly am.
Well, I'm fond of celebrating his birth.
It astounds me to think that even before he was born God had a plan for
his life. He knew every hair on his head. Knew what kind of man he would
grow to be. I am so blessed to have this man as my husband. I'm so thankful for him.
I have known him for more than half our lives. How is that possible?
Sometimes I can't believe we have known each other for so long and yet
sometimes I feel like there's no way we ever didn't know each other.
So, today I celebrate the birthday of the man I love. Happy birthday babe! I'm so glad you were born.

Aww, this was so sweet! My husband isn't a fan of birthday celebrations, either. But it is indeed a day to celebrate! I hope you all enjoy his birthday immensely.
I love making memories with my kids.
Birthdays become much more fun for grandpas with their grandsons. I think it is because they have more time to adapt.
This is such a sweet post! I hope he has a very pleasant birthday! :)
Ha ha! Strawberry jam (jelly) on eggs? I'll have to try that! Lovely, heartfelt sentiments.
She is so cute.

Your husband sounds like a great guy, hope he had a Happy Birthday!
What a wonderful comment about your husband. My husband hates birthdays too and it's been that way for over 30 years now. Some things just don't ever change.
This is such a sweet post, and I hope the celebration of his birthday was a blast! One of the best parts of loving someone, especially over time, is noticing all of their little quirks (and of course, embracing them for being uniquely them).
